The Gospel Magician
My Testimony
I came to know Jesus as my Saviour at the age of 12. It was a very exciting day in my life when I asked Jesus into my heart. On that day Jesus forgave me of my sins and came into my heart to live forever.
I had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home. I cannot stress enough to parents the importance of being the example God wants them to be to their children. As parents, God has given us a special gift in our children, and He expects us to bring them up in the way they should go.
On September 5 1980, I was involved in a very serious car accident. I was trapped in my car underneath a flat bed truck for two hours. I was awake the entire two hours while the firemen and paramedics were trying to free me from the car.
When I arrived at the hospital I had to receive five units of blood during over five hours of surgery. I had seven broken bones (including compound fractures), and a severe cut into my left ankle joint.
Through it all the Lord has always provided and has continued to use me to witness to others.
How did this gospel magic thing start?
In 1977 my parents invited me to go to their church for a revival service. They said that they were going to have a Magician. I thought this sounded funny but I decided to visit that night and check this out. This is where I met Ricky Henson, and where I was first introduced to Gospel Magic. I was interested in magic tricks but didn’t know what I would do with them. Ricky became my best friend, the best man at my wedding and I thank God for his friendship daily.
